walalang#6

Smile for me though I can’t see
The subtle curves of your lips
The silky slope of your brows
The spellbinding bend of your eyes.

In the distance, the mere thought of you
Exhilarates, breathes life to a gasping soul.
I was a ship lost in the sea of indecision.
Tossed to and fro, oblivious,
Left to the mercy of what was beyond.

Then like an ephemeral wind, you took me by the helm
And in a fleeting moment, steered me back to direction.

Then you are gone.

Now where I’m headed, I know not
But faith assures my arrival.

I am a ship, in this empty sea.
Alone.
I sail on the course you have shown.
A voyage bound to shore
To a place where I wish you will be there
To blow on my sails forever…

And imagination ends.
